Memories

I remember simple times I spent with you during the holidays.

Baking sugar cookies, watching all the silly christmas specials, carolling in the bitter cold until my voice could no longer sound, reindeer bells on Christmas morning, hot chocolate, carrying wood for the fireplace, the one light that never seemed to work on the tree, reading all the Christmas stories while the family gathered around, red stockings, handmade mittens, candles in the window, snuggling beside you under a hand-sewn quilt, giggling so hard I could barely catch my breath, listening to the grown ups tell stories of times past.....
